Camp Outer Banks , is a Hand Hooked Cotton Rug from Michaelian Homes' Camp Collection.
Camp Outer Banks has a 100% Cotton face and a Burlap back. The Cotton is new and Recycled Cotton Fabric, making this a "true" Hand Hooked rug.
The unleveled hand dying of the Cotton is a work of art and the beauty of this rug is in the workmanship of the Dyes - The over all pattern of the Swimming Fish in the center of rug is eye catching. The way the Cotton is dyed with Rich shades of Blues and Violet makes the water look like it is moving.
The Rich Salmons, Reds, Blues, Greens, Pinks, Golds, Browns, and Greys of the fish make the Fish so realistic.
The Border of the rug is Rich shades of Salomon layered with Seashells, Coral, Crabs, and Coral.
The movement of the design keeps your eye moving over the rug. The perfect accessory any room and all homes!

Michaelean Home has strived to be true to the original designs, construction and materials found in the original American hooked rugs. Traditional Hooked rugs are truly an art form. They are made by taking old fabrics and cutting them into narrow strips. Burlap(often recycled food sacks) was used as the foundation. A needle with a hook on it pushed through from the top of the rug, and the fabric was then drawn to the surface. Thus hooked rugs are often called "drawn-in-rugs". The rugs in their Camp Collection are made exactly the same way, one loop at a time.
In their attempt to be "green", they use environmentally correct recycled fabrics, where ever possible.

Dimensions & Care
Care: Given the handcrafted nature of this product, there will be slight variations within this rug and between rugs. Hand hooked rugs should be swept or vacuumed regularly (no beater bar). Spot clean with warm soapy water. Do not machine wash. Loose yarns will often appear at the surface. Do not pull them out. Clip them at the surface with scissors.
