FINDING YOUR LATITUDE/LONGITUDE COORDINATES
In addition to using your GPS you can find the coordinates of your special place on many different websites. Here are a few: gpscoordinates.eu , gpsvisualizer.com , itouchmap.com .
There are different formats for indicating latitude/longitude. One shows lat and long in degrees only. The second in degrees and minutes and the third in degrees, minutes and seconds. Elizabeth uses the middle set because it is the format that fits on all the lat and long jewelry designs. If you only have your coordinates in one of the other formats because of where you got them, she can convert to the format she uses - so you can submit your coordinates in whatever format you have.
Elizabeth's favorite site is gpscoordinates.eu (not .com) Follow these steps to find the lat and long coordinates of the place you want to identify.

- From the Home page of gpscoordinates.eu, click the red box at the top right (OV) to go to the old version. These instructions are written for the old version.
- Click the top button (Determine, Show or Convert). Click Determine again.
- A map will show on the screen. Input address, the country in the next box (drop down) and then click Determine.
- On the upper right of the map, click on Satellite View. On the upper left of map zoom in and out to find your spot. Drag and drop the red balloon to the exact location you want the coordinates for. As you move the balloon you will see that the coordinates change in the three boxes above the map / aerial photo.
- The first box will show lat and long in degrees only. The second in degrees and minutes and the third in degrees, minutes and seconds. The middle set will be what is used on your jewelry because it is the format that fits on all the lat and long jewelry designs.
FYI- a negative sign (-) sometimes appears before the longitude. That simply means West of the international dateline. When those numbers are followed by the W (for west) the - sign is not necessary and will not be used on your jewelry.
