Product Description
Today's Office of Coast Survey traces its charting efforts back to 1807, when President Thomas Jefferson founded the Survey of the Coast. To celebrate and preserve this long history, NOAA started assembling the collection in 1995 as a data rescue effort. NOAA continues to preserve charts and maps produced by NOAA's Coast Survey and its predecessors, especially the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and the U.S. Lake Survey (previously under the Department of War).

Our Framed NOAA Historical Charts are available in two sizes. NOAA charts are not all the same size so the final size is approximate. Please note the orientation, some are vertical and others horizontal and there are even some square charts. Again, sizes are approximate as each NOAA chart is a different size and orientation.
The Large framed chart is available in an American Walnut, Barnwood, Black, Bronze or White 2" frame.
The Small framed chart is available in an American Walnut, Black, Bronze, Barnwood 1.25" frame.
Both sizes are double matted with a white and black mat. See actual size specifications in the Dimensions and Care section.

Our framed nautical charts are available in two sizes. The large framed size is approximately 32" x 38" and the small framed size is 26" x 30". Again, sizes are approximate as each NOAA chart is a different size and orientation.
Plexiglass (acrylic) size: Approximately 28" x 34" and 22" x 26"
Frame size: Approximately 2" for the larger chart and 1.25" for the smaller.
